Alpha One

Alpha One announces the 6th annual "Powering education" scholarship. This scholarship is established to assist people with disabilities who wish to pursue post secondary education. Three selected candidates will receive 2,000 to attend college or graduate programs.
DEADLINE is April 4, 2008
Eligibility:
-must be disabled
-receiving education within the state of maine
-available to anyone pursuing higher education regardless of graduation date from high school.
-B average or equivalent GPA
-Acceptance letter from post secondary institution

Selection of Recipients:
-A personal essay of their choice, one to two pages in length
-A letter of recommendation from a teacher, cleargy, guidance administrator or other.
-Current high school transcripts.
