The A. Leigh Phillips scholarship is for Maine high school seniors with an identified disability(ies) under the Individuals With Disabilities Education Act [IDEA] and Maine Special Education Regulations Chapter 101, who plan to go on to post-secondary education.

The Lou Fontana Scholarship is for undergraduate and graduate students from the University of Maine system who are matriculating toward a degree in Special Education, preferably in the area of Severe Disabilities, but anyone pursuing a degree in Special Education will be considered. Preference may be given to applicants following a non-traditional path to the profession. Think of someone on your staff that may be pursuing a degree in special education.
